Tangerang, October 10th, 2025 - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) and PT Pelita Air Service (Pelita Air) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore cooperation in aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). Held on Friday (10/10) at Pondok Cabe Airport, this strategic partnership was signed by GMF CEO, Andi Fahrurrozi, and Pelita Air CEO, Dendy Kurniawan.
As a symbolic gesture to mark the beginning of this partnership, the signing ceremony was followed by a ribbon-cutting event at Pelita Air’s hangar area, signifying the commencement of collaboration in utilizing the facility for aircraft maintenance activities. This moment officially marked the synergy between both parties in strengthening the national aviation ecosystem.
Through this MoU, GMF has the opportunity to expand its capacity and capabilities in aircraft maintenance services, which are not only centered at its main facility in Cengkareng but also extend to Pelita Air’s hangars and those of its subsidiaries. This collaboration enables GMF to perform maintenance on ATR aircraft and Bell 412 helicopters, reinforcing GMF’s position in broadening its business portfolio in the rotary-wing segment.
GMF CEO, Andi Fahrurrozi, stated that the MoU serves as an initial step toward expanding strategic collaboration and fostering synergy among state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the aviation sector. “This partnership strengthens the position of both companies as key players in the aviation ecosystem. Through this collaboration, GMF and Pelita Air can complement each other’s capabilities and expand business opportunities, particularly in developing MRO services across various segments,” said Andi.
Pelita Air CEO, Dendy Kurniawan, added that this strategic partnership reflects the spirit of synergy among aviation SOEs in strengthening the integration of Indonesia’s national aviation ecosystem and optimizing available resources.
