PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) served as the facilitator for the Aircraft Maintenance Technical Guidance (Bimtek) program organized by the Defense Maintenance and Care Agency of the Ministry of Defense (Baharwathan Kemhan) from (07/14-16). Held at the GMF Hangar 4 Auditorium, the event commenced with an official ceremony led directly by the Head of Pusrenharwat Alpalhan Baharwathan Kemhan, Commodore Saepudin Hidayat, S.E., M.Tr.Hanla., M.Tr.(Han)., and was attended by the CEO of GMF, Andi Fahrurrozi. This technical guidance was held to enhance the expertise and comprehensive understanding of the officers regarding engineering systems and aircraft maintenance planning, thereby supporting operational reliability in national defense.

During the three-day program, the participating officers underwent a series of intensive sessions designed to align competency requirements with aviation industry standards. The learning method combined classroom instructions delivered by GMF instructors, interactive Focus Group Discussion (FGD) sessions, and direct site visits to the production floor to observe the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) processes. Through this approach, participants gained a highly practical understanding of both the technical aspects and the management of aircraft maintenance planning.

Through this collaboration, GMF hopes to further strengthen synergy and establish a sustainable partnership with Baharwat Kemhan to support GMF's commitment to reinforcing the Republic of Indonesia's national defense. This strong synergy between the aviation industry and the defense sector is expected to foster self-reliance in maintaining the nation's defense air fleet, particularly in the maintenance and upkeep of the state's primary weapon systems (Alutsista).
