Madiun, February 17th, 2025 - PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) is expanding its business into the railway through a strategic partnership with PT INKA Multi Solusi Services (IMSS). The agreement was signed in Madiun on Monday (17/02) and lasts for two years to provide Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services in the national railway industry.
This collaboration combines GMF’s expertise in maintenance and engineering with IMSS’ experience in rolling stock maintenance. The collaboration covers maintenance of locomotive motors and generators, provision of spare parts, utilization of facilities and equipment, and optimisation of local technicians to improve production cost efficiency. With GMF’s experience in gas turbine engine and traction motor maintenance for the non-aviation industry, this partnership is expected to produce more reliable and innovative maintenance solutions for the railway sector.
GMF and INKA Group are exploring opportunities to expand their cooperation in railway and aircraft component manufacturing, including the production and maintenance of high-quality, cost-efficient spare parts. Leveraging PT INKA (Persero)’s Madiun workshop and skilled local technicians, both companies aim to create strong synergies to advance the national transport industry.
GMF’s Director of Base Operation, Irvan Pribadi, stated that this synergy is a strategic step to strengthen the MRO ecosystem in the transport sector. “GMF and INKA Group will collaborate to enhance MRO capabilities and efficiency, strengthen the supply chain, optimize facility utilization, drive human resources and technological innovation,” said Irvan.
