Tangerang, 15th April, 2026 – As a result of its strong commitment and high precision in maintaining defense equipment entrusted by the Indonesian Air Force, PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) has officially signed an extension of its technical agreement with the Air Force Materiel Maintenance Command (Koharmatau). The signing ceremony took place at the Koharmatau Headquarters in Bandung on Friday (27/03). The agreement was signed by the Commander of Koharmatau, Air Vice Marshal Ir. Suryanto, and President Director of GMF, Andi Fahrurrozi. This milestone marks a new chapter in a collaboration that is not only continuing, but also expanding in scope.

This extension goes beyond a continuation of previous cooperation, reflecting the sustained trust of the Indonesian Air Force in GMF’s capabilities. Previously entrusted with the maintenance of C-130 Hercules aircraft, the expanded agreement now covers a wider range of platforms, including Boeing 737 Series, Airbus A400M, Dassault Falcon 8X, and Airbus Helicopters Super Puma AS332L1. This broader scope further reinforces GMF’s role in ensuring the operational readiness of national defense assets.

The expanded scope is also aligned with GMF’s growing capabilities in defense asset maintenance, as demonstrated by the successful modernization of one C-130H Hercules aircraft (registration A-1315), part of a total of eight aircraft entrusted to GMF. The program included a life extension initiative through Center Wing Box (CWB) replacement as well as an Avionics Upgrade Program (AUP).

GMF’s capability development in defense maintenance has been underway since 2021, beginning with cockpit modernization and CWB replacement projects, supported by technology transfer from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), along with enhancements in facilities, systems, and human capital. In addition, GMF continues to introduce innovations to improve maintenance efficiency, including SmartDock, a solution specifically designed to enhance the efficiency and precision of Hercules aircraft maintenance processes.

President Director of GMF, Andi Fahrurrozi, stated that the extension of this agreement is expected to serve as a stepping stone in strengthening GMF’s business performance, in line with its continuously advancing capabilities, following a 16.8% year-on-year (YoY) increase in net profit. “This capability enhancement is expected not only to expand our service portfolio, but also to unlock broader economic opportunities through the optimization of the domestic aerospace industry,” said Andi.

Beyond business achievements, these capability advancements also reflect GMF’s contribution to strengthening the independence of the national defense industry. Each maintenance process carried out with high precision not only ensures airworthiness, but also plays a vital role in maintaining the operational readiness of the Indonesian Air Force’s defense assets.

With this spirit, GMF remains committed to delivering maintenance services that are not only precise and efficient, but also contribute meaningfully to safeguarding Indonesia’s air sovereignty.
